School Board Candidate

Brian Kirk

About

I am seeking a position on the St. Joseph Board of Education to continue serving our community as a positive and progressive voice for change. As a former public-school educator with experience teaching at the primary, middle school, and graduate levels, I bring firsthand knowledge of the needs of both students and teachers in the classroom. I am deeply committed to the transformative power of education in improving individual lives and strengthening our communities and society as a whole.
If elected, I will prioritize the following objectives:
Attracting and Retaining Quality Staff
I will ensure educators have access to the resources, support, and autonomy needed to enhance student academic achievement and increase graduation rates.
Restructuring Facilities
I will address the district’s current facility needs by optimizing the number and use of buildings to better allocate resources and create an improved learning environment.
Enhancing Communication with the Community
I will strengthen the relationship between the school district and the broader community by fostering open dialogue and encouraging active participation from all citizens, including parents and families, in the success of our schools.
I am deeply committed to the future of education in St. Joseph and will work collaboratively to achieve these goals.
